Professional Learning Community Workshop - 2019

The worksop I hosted offered practical examples of how tablets can be used to foster engagement while reinforcing classroom management in group assignments, and how to use Google Classroom to effectively communicate with and assess student learning.

In-school workshop on the Extended Essay - 2018

This workshop offered Extended Essay supervisors and teachers an opportunity to sharpen their skills -- in terms of offering guidance to student candidates for the IB Diploma and assessing their work using the IB scales and rubrics. A fantastic workshop led by Brad Philpot.

This seminar offered pedagogical context for strategic curricular planning, allowing teacher leader participants the chance to explore the rationales behind UbD approaches and then offering the opportunity to put them in practice.

Esol Education - Values in Education

2015

This conference was hosted by the Esol at the American International School in Egypt (Main Campus). This workshop allowed teachers from various backgrounds the chance to discuss and exchange ideas related to values in education -- how educators inherently bring their own set of values to their classrooms and those values that evidently present within western educational systems.

KORCOS 2014 International Education Conference

The 2014 International Education Conference was hosted by the Korea Council of Overseas Schools at Seoul International School in Seoul, South Korea. During this conference, I attended workshops designed to: improve assessment of student writing through rubrics, improve classroom management through the simple and fun introduction of playing cards and dice, and provide humanities teachers with a wealth of tools and activities to engage students.

KORCOS 2012 International Education Conference

The 2012 International Education Conference was hosted by the Korea Council of Overseas Schools at Songdo Global University in Songdo, Incheon, South Korea. This was a day long professional development experience in which I attended several workshops on incorporating technology in the classroom (i.e., Edmodo, Evernote, Google Docs) and employing effective classroom management strategies.

This conference was hosted by the Esol at the American International School in Egypt (Main Campus). This workshop offered practical examples and tutorials in using Google products and various supporting educational apps in the classroom.

BCC Fall 2013 Professional Development

This certificate recognizes my contributions in leading a workshop during the BCC Fall 2013 Professional Development Day on October 25th, 2013. My workshop focused on the use of technology to help teachers and students collaborate with one another through document sharing software like Evernote and Google Docs.
